This tofu with barbecue sauce is super easy to prepare, so it is a great weeknight recipe. I typically don’t like the flavor of BBQ sauce, but this one is just perfect. Along with the other ingredients, I chose red chili paste, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1 tablespoon of Vermont maple syrup. The sesame seeds and chopped green onion add an attractive and crunchy finish.
This BBQ tofu dish was served with stir-fried vegetables topped with fresh mung bean sprouts & cilantro. The side dish was white rice cooked in vegetarian broth and a dribble of sesame seed oil.
This dinner was enjoyed so much by my family that I had to share it. I also wanted to make sure it is in my vegetarian/vegan menu for future reference. This one is a keeper! — Carole
